Tenant Information – Rental Properties in Truro & Cornwall

Letting Fees and Permitted Payments

In addition to your rent, you may be required to make the following permitted payments:

Before the Tenancy Starts (Payable to Philip Martin – “The Agent”)

  • Holding Deposit: 1 week’s rent

  • Security Deposit: 5 weeks’ rent

During the Tenancy (Payable to the Agent)

  • Changes to the tenancy agreement: £50

  • Late rent payments: Interest at 3% per annum above the Bank of England base rate

  • Lost keys or security devices: Full replacement cost

  • Early termination costs: Unpaid rent or other reasonable costs

During the Tenancy (Payable to Service Providers, If Applicable)

  • Utilities (gas, electricity, water)

  • Communications (telephone and broadband)

  • Cable/satellite installation and subscriptions

  • Television licence

  • Council Tax

Other Permitted Payments

  • Any additional payments permitted under relevant legislation, including contractual damages

All tenancy deposits are registered with The Dispute Service Limited, giving tenants extra security and confidence.
