GENERAL COMMENTS

It is thought to have been built around 1850 and originally the offices of the Copper Hill mine, which had a short, but profitable lifespan. It is believed that at this time, the property was owned by Sir Redvers Buller who won a Victoria Cross during the Zulu War.
