A MILESTONE YEAR

We are celebrating our 30th anniversary this year.  One of the oldest firms established in the area and among one of the most well-known names in the industry throughout Cornwall.

The business has grown from its humble beginnings in 1986 – the same year that Britain and France announced plans to construct the Channel Tunnel and England were knocked out of World Cup by Argentina and Maradona’s ‘Hand of God’.  Now, Philip Martin has three offices, two in Truro and one in St Mawes as well as being a member of the RICS and the Relocation agent network.  Staying true to the proud legacy of Philip Martin’s heritage, the firm continues to offer a high quality personal service from experienced and qualified people.

“This 30th anniversary signifies an important achievement for us, our employees and our customers,” says Philip Martin, still the senior partner at the firm. “It speaks volumes about the value of our expertise and experience in the property industry and the talent and good service at the heart of our company.  We are proud and excited to celebrate this milestone year, looking back on our incredible heritage and accomplishments and towards a successful future.”

“An anniversary like this can provide a time to reflect,” says Sean Johnston, “I have been with the company since 2006 when there was just one office on the Corner of Cathedral lane.  I’ve had the privilege of working with fellow partners Philip Martin, James Harvey and Steven Jenkin, all of which are like me, Cornish. We all share the same traditional values which lie at the very heart of the firm. I feel very proud of how Philip Martin has grown in recent years even during tough economic times and also privileged to be part of such a fantastic Cornish company.”

“It’s important to move with the times and although change is never easy, it’s vital in a competitive industry to adapt and modernise yet staying consistent to our principles. We’ve been slowly updating most of our advertising in the last couple of years including our website, newspaper and magazine adverts, window displays and our for sale and to let boards. We are a local firm with traditional Cornish values yet with all the modern day fundamentals customers look for in an agent.” Says Sean Johnston.

Philip Martin are able to deal with all property related issues under one roof so whether clients are selling, letting or require specialist valuations and advice Philip Martin are always in a position to help.

"Sean and his colleagues at Philip Martin supported us in the purchase of our first property. We found Sean and his team to be professional, reliable, efficient and above all else honest. Our first time buyer concerns and questions were dealt with promptly and we were treated with genuine respect. Many thanks for all your help."
