Company Profile
Established in 1986 Philip Martin is an independent firm of Estate Agents, Chartered Surveyors, Valuers and Auctioneers covering the mid and west Cornwall areas dealing with a wide variety of properties in all price ranges. The firm has three partners headed up by Senior Partner Philip Martin together with Steven Jenkin and James Harvey. All three partners come from Cornish families and all share a similar agricultural background. Philip Martin and Steven Jenkin are both members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors whilst James Harvey hopes to be joining them in the future.
The main ethos of the firm is to provide a professional and high quality service to our clients without compromising our core business by having to sell additional services such as conveyancing, insurance and mortgages.
We are able to deal with all property related issues under one roof so whether our clients are selling, letting or require specialist valuations and advice we are always in a position to help.
Marketing
As with all businesses good quality marketing is essential and property is no different. We aim to advertise all clients properties prominently in the local and regional press and currently utilise the West Briton and Western Morning News. Whilst this coverage is adequate for many properties there are instances when a wider more national campaign is required and we then utilise titles such as The Times, The Telegraph, Countrylife and Farmers Weekly.
In recent years newspaper advertising has been heavily challenged by the property websites and portals and again we aim to give the widest coverage to our clients by advertising on Rightmove, Primelocation, Findaproperty and Radar Homes.
We also have a large mailing list and individual properties are either posted or e-mailed to prospective purchasers on a daily basis. In a time when websites and e-mail are becoming the norm we still give great weight to importance of high quality sales particulars and produce bespoke brochures in a range of styles often incorporating floor plans and ordnance survey extracts.
Homesale Network
Cartus plc, the world largest relocation company, with over 750 offices, have selected Philip Martin as the "best local independent agent" and engaged us as their local representative of the Home Sale Network. Each member has been carefully selected by HSN as owner run, dedicated to customer service, with a deep rooted commitment to the local Home Sale Networkcommunity and a detailed insight and knowledge of the local housing market.
